Sailing from Subic!

Tomorrow morning at 7am on the 30th of June we sail from Subic Bay to Puerta Princess. Unfortunately, a storm is due to hit at 8am. It is raining extremely heavily right now at 8pm the night before. We have lashed down all the AV gear although the store is still going to get messy as it's just not possible to tie everything down well.

For many of us on board this is our first storm. Captain Dirk has assured us that we will not be so excited once we're in it. Of course, we will try to avoid the storm but right now with lightening flashing and the rain almost horizontal that doesn't seem likely.

The fact that we're sailing means that generator 2 has been repaired. Parts for our lighting console have been ordered and will hopefully arrive in Kuching.

Please pray:
  • For smooth, uneventful operation of the engines and generators
  • For minimal damage to equipment on board
  • That the lighting console parts would arrive as soon as possible
  • Give thanks that repairs have been completed well
  • Give thanks for the ministry that has happened here in Subic Bay
